PART-TIME WATER & SEWER OPERATORS
Supervisor Whitson opened the meeting by discussing the needs of the water and sewer departments with regards to back up operators. Supervisor Whitson stated that Jason Endries had withdrawn his application. Discussion ensued. Deputy Supervisor Grimone motioned for a 15 minute recess, motion was seconded by Councilperson Bates, and recess began at 6:45 p.m. Supervisor Whitson called the meeting back into order at 7:02 p.m. Discussion ensued. It was decided that Craig Catalano would be offered the part-time sewer operator position, and Kevin Seymour would be asked to be an on-call employee for the water department.
Discussion ensued regarding the Water & Sewer Superintendent Positions. Due to the fact that the Water Superintendent and the Sewer Superintendent jobs were not previously posted to the public, the Board felt it is necessary to post them. As the requirements for the Sewer Superintendent position would be changing in the near future when the new WWTP is on-line, it was decided to wait to post that position. The Board agreed that the Water Superintendent position was ready to be listed in the newspaper, and current Water Superintendent Jeff Cotter would be encouraged to apply.
